  Short information about the Institute of Metal Physics (IMP) and the Ural Federal University (UrFU), which are situated in Ekaterinburg, Russia, is given in the beginning.

  The new functional materials and nanostructures with useful and high characteristics are need for the spintronics devices. Such functional characteristic are the high spin polarization of charge carriers, high Curie temperature and big value of magnetization at room temperature, giant magnetocaloric effect and so on. The following materials and structures can be particularly related to this class of matter: Heusler alloys, metallic superlattices and spin valves, topological insulators and others.

  We report about the peculiarities of magnetic and transport properties in Heusler alloys (half metallic ferromagnets and spin gapless semiconductors), magnetic nanostructures and topological insulators.

The experimental methods and some equipments, which are used in IMP and UrFU, are considered. Particularly, so called a method of thermobaric treatment (TBT), is discussed more detailed.


主讲人概况:

  玛尔青阔夫·维切斯拉夫教授是俄罗斯科学院金属物理研究所低温物理实验室主任及主要研究人员(Main Researcher),俄罗斯科学院乌拉尔分支(Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences,RAS)学术委员会成员,金属物理研究所学术委员会成员以及乌拉尔联邦大学(Ural Federal University)兼职教授。

  金属物理研究所隶属于俄罗斯科学院乌拉尔分支(Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences,RAS),包含了25个实验室,将近500名研究人员,在与金属材料相关的领域研究中处于世界前沿。

  乌拉尔联邦大学(Ural Federal University)又名:叶利钦大学 ,位于俄罗斯经济第三强,人口第四大的城市叶卡捷琳堡。2011年初经俄罗斯教育部批准,总统梅德韦杰夫签发命令,将乌拉尔国立大学与乌拉尔国立技术大学合并,组建成为乌拉尔联邦大学。成为俄罗斯九所联邦大学之一。知名校友包括俄罗斯联邦前总统叶利钦、前苏联总理(部长会议主席)尼古拉·伊万诺维奇·雷日科夫、原俄罗斯科学院院长奥西波夫·尤里·谢尔盖那维奇及中国工程院院士、清华大学教授金涌等。
