Free email hosts such as Hotmail, Gmail and Yahoo have always served a fantastic purpose but can sometimes look cheap or unprofessional on websites particularly if you don’t own a domain:
“tombrown@hotmail.com”
And worse still if you run a business:
“webtech@yahoo.com”
It would all look so much more appropriate if you got mentioned AFTER the required “@”
“info@tombrown.co”
“enq@webtech.co”
The only stipulation would be that you could NOT use these email names also as web domains. That would mean they would all get taken too quickly and not allow users to claim the same email domain as another user.
For instance; if “info@tombrown.co” was taken you could also use that email domain by just changing the prefix; “me@tombrown.co” This would allow a greater usage and availability for email addresses simply by not including them as web addresses.
The only technical requirement would be to create an extension not usable on the world wide web – “say EDO” short for “email domain”
info@tombrown.edo
me@tombrown.edo
enq@webtech.edo
